Knowing Self to Reach Goal
Realization
When you know self, you have an advantage over millions in the
world, since you will have an understanding of goal
realization. To begin the process of knowing self will take you
to realization of what you want from life. Thus, a basis needs
establishing to start the process of knowing self. Once you set
the foundation, you will soon react to responses.
Still, you need to write down the basis of your wants. For
instance, I want a degree in biology. To get the degree I need
an understanding of environmental sciences, ecology, and
natural sciences. Ecology takes me to learning ecosystems,
natural balance, conservationism, green politics, and
environmentalism. Now think is biology degree what you truly
want to accomplish.
Sometimes we plan to do some things in life that later we find
we did not want to do in the first place. This is lack of
knowing self and lack of awareness of our intentions and
purpose in life. Now sit and think of your purpose? What is the
reason I want the degree in biology? Do I have skills,
abilities, talents, personality traits and the like that
conform to biological works? If not can, I develop these
qualities. Once you finish you might find that a biology degree
is not truly in your nature. Do not worry, since this happens
often. However, you have a head up on your next decision. As
you analyzed to see if you had qualities, a true desire, and
the like, you should take notes, which will point you in a
right direction.
To help you see how this works I will write potential goals,
analyze the goals and go in a bit of depth to see if the goal
is truly meaningful to me.
I want to become a psychoanalyst. What does it take? What is a
psychoanalyst and what does he do? Do I have those skills,
abilities, talents, etc to perform sufficient job while
analyzing?
Evaluating the goal and self:
Hum, a psychoanalyst is overall a therapist or analyst. What
does psychoanalyst do? Ok, a counselor differs from a
psychoanalyst to a large degree. A psychoanalyst analyzes by
using methods to discover telepathic phenomena. After
discovering his findings, he then treats patients with
emotional disorders by involving management sessions by
allowing the patient to talk freely about his or her individual
experiences. The topics often focus on dreams or early
childhood memories. Interesting, but what else do these people
do? Most psychoanalyst study more than treat patients and will
often induce theories, logics, actions, disorders, mental
illnesses and the like into self to analyze more
thoroughly.
Well, I have a basic summary of a psychoanalyst and what it
takes to be a licensed analyst, as well as what these people
do. Now, I need to consider if I have the skills, abilities and
the like to achieve this goal and adhere to the strategies
employed to treat patients.
Hum, I do have these abilities. I have exclusive and concrete
facts along with examples that show clearly my skills,
abilities and the like. I am analytic, self-inducing, and have
the ability to see what many others cannot see as a
possibility. Yes, I do have what it takes to become a
psychoanalyst.
Yet, what is my purpose? Hum, I enjoy helping others. I am
considerate, strive for facts, hunger to heal, and love human
beings as a whole. Is this a purpose? No, it is an indication
that I can achieve by receiving this degree, but by no means is
it a purpose. I have to have a purpose after discovering self
before this can work. What is my purpose?
Now write down what you think you would like to do. Go further
than the example by exploring your purpose and finding meaning
in what you want.
